When buying a ring online, you may be wondering how to choose the right size. Of course, if you have already received your Glatt Jewelry ring, but missed your exact ring size, your ring will be replaced if you send it back to us in a perfect condition. However, in order to have as few chances as possible for this, I have gathered a few methods how you can determine the desired size of your future Glatt Jewelry ring as accurately as possible.
There are two ways to get started, but if you want to be sure, you can try all the two in parallel:
- Measure it based on your own ring
- Measure the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper
The first method: Measure your own ring!
I’m sure you have a favorite ring. In a perfect size that fits right onto your finger. Or maybe that special someone has that kind of a ring whom you would like to buy a piece of Glatt Jewelry. Don’t worry, if you were to buy the first ring of your life right now or you may not know how big should you order as a gift, the second method can still help you out.
But back to this method! So, let’s stick with your well-proven, favorite ring – make sure it’s a roughly circular jewelry. Its material doesn’t matter at all. It can be gold, gold-plated silver, silver or even plastic. Once you have found the perfect piece, print out the illustration that can be found here and try to find out exactly on which circle the inside diameter of your ring fits onto.
What you need to know for the measurement:
- The print size may also depend on the settings of your printer, so for safety reasons, please check with a ruler the sizes of the diameters just to be sure.
- If you wish to purchase a much wider ring at my webshop than your sample ring, round up; while you wish to buy a narrower piece, round down the size. This is because wider rings usually require a slightly larger size than narrower ones.
- And just for safety again, it’s important that the inside arc of the sample ring fits exactly around the circle, not the outside!
When you found the perfect size, just take a look around the webshop, and order the ring you like, the size of your finger.
The second method: Measure the circumference of your finger with a strip of paper
If the first method might not work and you can’t print, I’ve made a second tip for you too! Take a piece of paper (it may have already been sketched) and cut out for yourself a strip of paper 4-5 mm wide, about 9-10 cm long, then place it on the finger on which you will be wearing the ring. Wrap it around your finger and use a pencil or pen to mark how long the paper runs out. Then measure this distance using a ruler or tape measure.
If you have the circumference of your finger in millimeters, look up the appropriate number in the table below. You will find it in the “Inner circumference of the ring (finger circumference)” column. Example: If the strip of paper shows that the circumference of your finger is 46.7 mm, then a ring with an average width of size 47 may be ideal for you. Of course, if you choose a wider ring, round the size up; if you choose a thinner jewelry, round down.
Ring size | The inner diameter of the ring | Inner circumference of the ring (finger circumference) |
41 | 13,1 mm | 41,1 mm |
42 | 13,4 mm | 42,0 mm |

I truly hope that my tips helped!
You have read two methods above on how you can measure your ring size. No matter which one you choose, you can estimate the size with all of them much more accurately than if you were just guessing it with your eyes. I hope I helped, if you have any questions about these methods, feel free to contact me.
Of course, despite all the preparation and accuracy, the Glatt Jewelry ring you received may not be the right size for you. In this case, there is nothing to worry about either, if you contact me and return the ring in its original condition, I will be happy to change it or correct the size of it!
